A Special Award

Pathway Project is proud to announce that Kathy Coe, Chief Executive Officer, has been awarded the Member of the British Empire (MBE) for outstanding service in the community.  This is a, well-deserved, honour that has been granted to Kathy who has spent 30 years providing a much-needed service to victims of domestic abuse.

Kathy, who is also a survivor of domestic abuse, founded Pathway Project when she realised that the type of support she required to rebuild her and her children’s lives was not available.  From a small start of a telephone helpline in her bedroom, the service, which is a registered charity, has grown to a dedicated team providing support, emergency refuge accommodation, counselling and drop-in service amongst other valuable assistance.

This MBE award is a recognition of Kathy’s selfless sacrifice and the high commitment of her team in turning around the lives of victims who become survivors, many of whom go on to be achievers in their future life. On behalf of the staff, trustees, partners and service users I wish to congratulate Kathy on this wonderful award.
