Pathway Strategy to 2030
7 key pillars underpin our strategy.

How we finance what we do:
Pathway will show financial sustainability by having a clear funding pipeline which ensures the predicted deficit reduces year on year to income neutral by 2030 . Funds will be generated by both grant applications and self-generated income. This will include the opening of a social enterprise or CIC in order to generate income to deliver additional services.

Quality and excellence in professionalism:
By January 2030 we will be a well-regarded specialist organisation in the Domestic Abuse field aspiring to work in partnership with all and recognising that domestic abuse affects all in society. We will be providing programmes of support and intervention known for quality and excellence whilst delivering quality Domestic Abuse education and awareness across refuge and community settings.

Increasing volunteering opportunities:
By January 2030, Pathway will have increased the number of volunteers to meet operational needs. It will have embedded its active volunteer capacity and diversified engagement to include five distinct service streams (Direct Support, Community Outreach, Digital Outreach, Administrative Support and Fundraising). Also ensuring that 100% of volunteers are trauma-informed to enhance the charity’s reach and operational resilience.

Saying who we are and what we do;
By January 2030, Pathway Project will have re-branded to ensure full inclusivity to strengthen public engagement and awareness of its domestic abuse support services. We will have increased social media interaction and boosted website traffic. This will have been achieved through targeted PR activity, strategic collaborations, and the delivery of consistent, diverse high-quality content, measured by analytical data.

How we develop our staff and volunteers:
By January 2030, Pathway Project will have strengthened staff performance and retention by implementing regular supervision meetings grounded in the organisation’s values, delivering role-specific training and purposeful learning opportunities. Enhancing HR support to improve the overall development and wellbeing of staff, so that they can be the best they can be.

How we work:
By January 2030, Pathway will have achieved full organisational maturity by embedding an integrated ‘Operational Framework’ across the organisation. This framework will ensure 100% compliance with internal processes, national requirements and legislation. It will be underpinned by a robust policy framework. Pathway will secure Women’s Aid National Quality Standards and move the organisation to a ‘Low Risk’ audit status to ensure long-term sustainability and survivor safety.

How we capture, listen to and act on what people tell us:
By January 2030, we will have a service that listens to the voice of those who use it or have worked alongside us. We will have done this by providing a platform to capture their experiences and views, with processes and systems in place to listen, hear and act on the voices. We have demonstrated that we are transparent, empowering and trustworthy.
