community. The Hope Centre is the organisations drop in centre and is available during office hours for people needing help to access easily without an appointment.
Recently Pathway have led the way in developing a Family Justice Centre, which is working to support any victim of abuse, male or female. This is only the third such centre in the country and is leading the way for a new way of supporting victims.
Kathy Coe, Director and Founder of Pathway Project, said today ‘I feel very proud of being awarded this honour for the work that our teams do in supporting very vulnerable
people. Pathway began with a team of dedicated volunteers, when I was the only paid member of staff. Although we now have a large staff team, the work that the volunteers do is highly valued by our organisation and by the people that we help. We have volunteers
answering our helpline, supporting refuge staff, working as volunteer drivers,
acting as trustees and helping to run crèches and play sessions. We would not be able to provide the support that we do without their time and commitment. Particularly as this is Volunteers Week we would like to give a massive thank you to them for their work with us.’
The organisation is now planning a celebration of the Award and also its 21st birthday this year.
