On 13 October 2017 Pathway’s Income Generation Group led the way to a new and exciting way of bringing in funds to Pathway. We know that people care about what we do, so many people’s lives are touched in some way by domestic or sexual abuse. We also know that people want to help so we invited people to attend an event that showed how anyone can invest in our work, invest in the lives of people who are in crisis and need our help. We launched our Patron’s Scheme.
We invited four people to become our Honorary Patrons and are delighted that they agreed. The Right Reverend Dr Michael Ipgrave OBE, Bishop of Lichfield, Ian Dudson CBE KStJ, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Angela Burns, Chief Executive, Webb Hotel Group Ltd and Joss Musgrove-Knibb, Group Editor and Director of Citylife in Lichfield Ltd all agreed to be part of this brilliant initiative.
The event focused on our plans for introducing a business model of funding into the income stream, which was applauded by our Guest Speaker, Sue Arnold, Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner of Staffordshire. We also heard from three former service users who had been supported by Pathway and wanted to share their stories of the transformative difference that Pathway had helped them to bring into their lives
The event would not have been possible without the support of the City of Lichfield Townswomen’s Guild who chose us as their Charity of the Year and suggested that we use the money that they raised to promote the Patron’s Scheme. As a result of this investment we now have 40 Patrons who are committed to giving £8,160 per year. The number is still increasing and we would like to say a huge thank you ! to all of you for trusting us with your investment into the future lives of so many people.
It is not too late to be part of this amazing piece of work. If you would like to become a Patron we have 4 levels and we also have Legacy Patrons who have been giving to Pathway for sometimes years even before we introduced this scheme. Thank you for all of your help and support. The 4 levels are:
