March - 2010
We woke up..........

and the coffee smelt great!

I remember a saying that young people used to bandy about a while ago – Miss It Miss Out.  Well if you missed our conference you certainly did miss out.  It was our first ever conference and we feel that we are justified in saying that we felt very proud of the achievement.  I am sure that it won’t be our last.

If you did miss out we would love to share some of it with you.  Please see the downloads at the bottom of the page  to find the presentations and notes from the day.  See the photographs below to help you to get a feel for the day.

Thank you to everyone who took part – Dr Kathy Kinmond, Dr Lisa Oakley and Kathy Coe for the presentations and workshops.  Also thank you to all the people who helped with preparations and on the day.  Thank you to Tamworth Safer Community Partnership for their sponsorship and to Branston Golf Club for a wonderful venue.

Hope to see you next year!

P.S.  – Although the title mentioned coffee I just wanted to say that a woman is like a tea bag.  You don’t find out how strong she is until you put her in hot water.  Our conference honours all those brave women who find themselves in hot water and in the end find out the hidden strength and courage within themselves.
