We can provide you with help and support if you are a woman experiencing abuse in the home. Have a look around our website - you will find lots of information, lots of tips for coping and ways of contacting us if you would like further advice.
Pathway are committed to offering support to women and children. We do not make decisions for you. We do not push you into making decisions. We will support you in your own choices and give you all the information you need to make the right choices for you.
The project offers a range of services for women and their children. These include:
ACCOMMODATION - refuge accommodation is available in Burntwood, in the form of bed sitting rooms for 5 families or single women. In Tamworth we have a refuge able to accomodate 6 families. In Lichfield we have a much larger 14 family refuge with bed sitting accommodation and shared communal areas.

RESETTLEMENT - the project aims to keep in contact with former residents through mutually arranged visiting. On going support is available for as long as it is needed.
CHILDREN'S WORK - we have a Children's Worker who arranges theraputic play sessions for the children, accesses services in the community and works with outreach and after care children. We also have a Parenting Support Worker who is funded by Children's Fund to support mothers in their relationships with their children.
PARENTING SUPPORT - Our Parenting Support Worker offers support and guidance to parents and counselling for children.
COUNSELLING - counselling can be arranged on a one to one basis. An initial assessment interview will be arranged through the office or helpline.
24 HOUR HELPLINE - this is a confidential service that offers help, advice, information and support for those suffering from domestic abuse.
LIFESKILLS TRAINING - the project is piloting a new training programme which helps to build self confidence and to encourage skills in all aspects of life from benefits, re-training and applying for jobs to first aid, shopping and budgeting.
OUTINGS - we arrange trips and social events for the residents and others to attend.
OUTREACH WORK - we can arrange a face to face meeting in a safe place to provide support and advice to women.
SELF HELP GROUP - this group runs four times a year and consists of six workshops which run weekly. This is aimed at challenging pre-conceived ideas about domestic abuse and acceptance of violence, and empowering women to move on in their lives.
SUPPORT GROUPS - weekly groups of fun, crafts and other stimulating events.
FLOATING SUPPORT - this is a service available for women in the community. We provide support and information to women who suffer domestic violence but have chosen not to access refuge accommodation, and may be still living with their abusive partners.
TRAINING - Pathway Project have developed a high quality training programme which we can tailor to the needs of the individual organisation. The training takes place over a half or a full day, and works well with a single agency or as a multi-agency event.
